The Art Of Relaxtion

When I say "The Art Of Relaxation" what does that bring to mind? A day at the spa getting pampered? A day sitting in the sun at the beach? Curled up on the couch reading a book? Yes these are great relaxing days but how often do you actually do them? Maybe a special occasion? Or we get a spa certificate as a gift? You may be missing opportunities to have that relaxation. The first thing is relaxing can take many forms, yoga, working out,  hot bubble bath with a glass of wine, or a run. Yes I said run! 

A higher level of activity like something where you are breathing hard, sweating, actually releases endorphins, what I like to call the happy high! When I have a really bad day I like to lace up he shoes and get a good run in. Which is immediately followed up by a nice hot bath or shower with a glass of wine. It's affordable, something that I always have for the stressful days, and best of all it makes me feel incredible! 

You have heard all the reports on the health issues that stress can cause so you don't need me telling you but here is what I ask you to do. Make a habit of relieving stress. It may be painting or taking your dog for a walk...anything that relaxes you..make it something you enjoy and.... make it a habit!
