Piggy Banks Are Not Just For Kids

Remember when you were a kid and you were saving for that new baseball mitt or really cool bike? Did you have a piggy bank? Maybe a coffee can? Well I am here to tell you they are not just for kids! I have a big pickle jar that came from a family gathering which I painted and painted the phrase "Run For The $". Each mile I run I put a dollar in the jar. The money pays for entry fees to races, shoes, and clothing. Let's say you want to go on that awesome vacation? Paint yourself a jar like the one pictured so it's fun to put that money in. How to save money? If you like to go thru your favorite coffee shop on your way to work every morning for your morning cup of joe opt for making your own coffee at home and take it in a travel mug. It may not be that latte half and half double shot blah blah blah but the average person spends $6 for their coffee and that is without the tip! So if you get that drink 5 times a week that is $30 and if you did that for 1 year that's $1560! That would make a nice little vacation fund!
